The Version 0.5.25 isn't there yet but the others are. It takes sometimes a couple weeks before they archive the release on that web page.

Using the link I posted on the OP/post #1, I'm able to get to it. You might want to try a free vpn to fake out Google Play, it might be a Canada thing. You do have to log on with your google account to get the device seen by the store, I think that's obvious though.

Testing the new version of the emulator, and it seems like it can play live tv channels in the preview window with the VLC or Internal player. YMMV, the external player option still seems smoother.

Hi guys,

I've been playing around with this emulator with Windows 7 and I'm having trouble. Just for your info, I have installed this version of the emulator stbemu-googleplay-release-0.5.21 with MX PLAYER 1.7.37 and xmtv as well.

To give a small resume of what I've done: Installed Bluestacks with success and installed the emulator with MX player. Configured server, MAC and resolution and configured MX player with all boxes checked under decoder SW and HW (tried different settings after fooled around a lot). Then, I chose external player in the EMU.

I played with the settings of mx player a lot because the only thing I got going on the screen was the blue bar with nothing happening on the VOD side and for Live channels, when pressing a channel, I got either if the link was unable to play message or the screen goes back to the channel list. So, nothing works.

Then, I read many thread pages here and there and I noticed people are saying to try different players.

So, I tried internal player: nothing is happening ob both VOD and Live channels.
Then, I tried VLC multimedia plugin (which gave me a strange screen resolution, as if everything was showing in the low part of my screen, i.e. see picture : http://i.imgur.com/0MUB3HS.jpg ) but I got it working for the Live channels but then freezes on the first channel and I can't do anything after besides exiting the program. It also did not work for the VOD.
Then, I tried xmtv player and got it working for the VOD but no go for the live channels, where it says that is connecting but cannot play the channel.

So, I'm out of solutions here, any clues?

@PVRUser, I think you did all that is reasonable. The latest version of the emulator is now .25, but you can get .24 from the link on the first post of the thread. I would uninstall BlueStacks completely, then try again using the updated version of the emulator and mx player. Your settings are correct because you are connecting to the server but don't over-configure the settings from stock on the emu (just change the server and the MAC address, and ensure you are emulating a MAG 250).

So I upgraded from .22 to .24 so I can stop the auto preview in the emulator ..but it now it doesn't work properly at all ..I used mx player and I get the video but no audio (i tried using the AIO audio codecs still nothing) ...what is the mx player settings? Also when I click back it no longer goes back to channel list ...it reboots entire emulator how do I stop this? I want to go back to channel list ...thanks

Hi dara,

Just to let you know that with the emulator version 0.24 it now works perfectly with xmtv player on both VOD and Live channels. I did not have to uninstall Bluestacks, I just tried it out with the new emu first and it worked out of the block! Thanks for your help, it's very apreciated.

Would you have any idea how to remove the parental lock permanently for the adults channels? I know the code is 0000 but I'd like to get rid of all these. I know how to achieve this on my MAG254 but not with the emu? Is that possible with the emu?

I use bluestacks on a window machine, I installed the version 0.5.24 of the STB emulator, and no matter what kind of media player I use, I can't stream anything. (MX Player give me the error "Can't play this link". It's weird because yesterday it was working. I also uninstalled bluestacks and reinstalled.

On your mx player settings for decoder, make sure you have s/w checked for network.

im getting that error on a few channels too at this min... but not all tho..145 is working fine at this min.. try that channel... if it was working yesterday, it should be working today

I have played with the bluestack emulator on pc 7 for so long for the live ch Days at a time players vlc /internal/ mx /xmtv and more that i tested hopping they work i am loosing hope though. on the other hand the vod works fine just pick you player, bluestacks is a pain though. Channels do work most of them on kodi stalker very well!!!!!! done thank you MR !!! dvbken !!! love it click and play if not move on to the next ch sure there are some channels that don't show from iptv and some that dont play but is 99% better than bluestacks max 2 live ch on a PC that is. Not complaining just stating facts from the users point of view.
ohh and the m8 my friend and I are testing ???????? the one he has , is there clones? cause this one is a dog
love this hobby
