Got this message on Mag 254 reboot. Can't do anything to get past it. Tried reboot multiple times... no help. My friends boxes are working OK after they rebooted.

All is OK now. They fixed the problem for me.

Same issue here. Started with portal being down. Now I'm getting the 'call provider' message. Cold booting has not fixed this for me. I have a backup unit that I'm currently testing, but its just hanging at the candy strip loading bar.

naw, I left the loading bar for 15mins with no progress. Cold boot the box and got same call provider error on it.

Same issue here as well. Posting in the thread for the service gets me told that MAG254 issues aren't to be discussed in there for some reason.

I'm glad you found the right thread. The other thread you posted on is for an add-on that works on Kodi, not about the NFPS service, and definitely not about the MAG254. The issue with the MAG254 maybe due to the server not recognizing the box or the MAC addresses, or some other setting within the your box's client software. It used to work, and now it doesn't after the server went down. Rebooting has helped some people to fix this, but not all.
 
Being new here, I'm finding it a bit confusing to have talk about a single service split up so much. I have tried cold reboots as well. I may try clearing the user data a bit later to see if that works. Like with others, it worked fine before the server went down.
 
I have one box working and one saying to call the provider. I cannot believe with so many people having this issue that the only thing anyone is suggesting is rebooting the box. Well. I have done that a 1,000 times. Any real help here? Normally someone is all over this stuff. Must be watching the fight.:confused:

I don't know if you are already aware of it: WE ARE RUNNING. How, by following these steps: 1) Unplug your STB and your cat 5.
2) if you have wireless,disconnect it.
3) disconnect your modem.
5) Wait for 5 minutes and reconnect: Modem/ Cat 5 or Wifi and last your STB.
