Saw the best addon ever guy post a supposed stalker rip off. Aftrer seeing a few people test it it borke ther iptv stalker they had installed . I pay so i hate free bes. From googlein i see channels are bocked for it already. So great job team. Wish people would let us be in peace.

The source code looks ok, but it looks like the cloner left the object code in the zip ... which was probably hacked. Definitely something legitimate users shouldn't use.

That app don't even or show channels, it alost makes people click serial, so should be stopped easy. Also it messes up your stalker from what I here seen pic of and read.

Most indications about 'rip' (Ha... rest in peace... more like rip-off) is that it no longer works, or there are enough people out there who can't make it work, and spread the word that it isn't worth the effort. Code that is open, like that in IPTV Stalker 1.0.18, is very easily copied and modified, so there's not much you can do except get the add-on from a trusted source.


The differences between the official 1.0.18 zip and the 'rip' zip is the presence of pyc and pyo files which are executed, as well as the addon.xml. Those pyc and pyo files probably contain malware. Legitimate addons do not have pyc or pyo files included... they let Kodi compile/interpret them from the source py files.

Tested the clone addon and every channel is working. It does need a mac but any made up mac starting with 00:1A:78: will do. This needs to be killed before the servers get overwhelmed more than they already are.

This is fales. It breaks peoples iptv stalker and does not work with any address. Kodi forms flooded with this. It dont work n breaks setup.

I wouldn't warn freeloaders just for shit n giggle.

pyo files gets created every time kodi executes a python script, it will "compile" it to object and run.
delete them and they will be created when the python script gets executed again. I dont know if you can create a pyo from a malicious file and put it next to source code that do not match, i'm pretty sure new pyo files will be recreated if so?

lol wth are you dissin at xiloh? he tried it, informed us what it did, and said it needed to be stopped.. if some of us try these addons we will have a much better idea whats going on. I think you should thank him for risking hes access, to see what the addon is about. its not like hes keeping it secret, he's posting what it does, and risking getting banned.

The reason it breaks your current stalker is because it overwrites the plugin.video.stalker folder.

I tried it and it did not work for me. But then I did read somewhere that someone was on a VPN and it did not work and when they turned it off it did. I ran this through a VPN and not will not try it with it off. That in it's self sounds fishy. I did look through the source but did not see anything that jumped right out so I am assuming the changes are in the pyo files.

As for the pyc and pyo files. These are compiled files and if the pyo file exists the pyc is ignored. pyo files are optimized and pyc are not.

tuxen is correct in that if you delete the pyo file Kodi will compile it and the file is created again. However this only happens if the py file has been updated or the pyo file is missing.

Since it is working for xiloh, it would be interesting if he/she deleted all of the .pyc and .pyo files from the plugin.video.stalker, restart Kodi and see if it still works. If it stops working then you know someone is doing something fishy and I would not recommend using it.

that's what I mean if you put a pyo file along a py that does not match, it will think the py has changed and a new pyo will be created. so you can not fool it that way.

Closing this thread. The intent of the 'rip' was to circumvent MAC validation... so those MACs that work initially stop working once the server goes through a flush of unmatched MACs to valid donations.
