Testing the Mag254 on different ISP

So Started to freeze here again this time at 4pm PST On all Dish channels, Yes there some with no freezing 197,211,215,251,252

Had enough time to test on other ISP's, Taken to 5 different homes in my town..
First, to 3 homes the same as my ISP All Freezing!!
The other 2 homes with different ISP and Booom! There Not freezing at all, even one home with, 3.0 Down and .9 Up for speed..


All Said And Done its my ISP...every night its around 7PM PST the freezing starts and ends at 11PM PST

tried to tell you this a number of times, fell on deaf ears....maybe next time you will listen. Do yourself a favor and get DSL instead of cable internet..JMO

Am DSL lol the 2 that worked are cable!!!!!!

have 10Mbps down with DSL here and no probs other than some of the reported channel groups, most noticeably the Disc networks

Yes the Disc. Networks are the worst..But at the same the movies in VOD start to freeze up too
Like i said channels 197 211 226 and more No freezing..

likewise. vod is spot on. 190 freeze like crazy, and those are the ones I watch the most. spanish channels work good too. 300 some freezing . I use cable internet.

Thank you. For all those complaining about buffering/freezing let this be a lesson in troubleshooting.
The advertised bandwidth does not mean much outside their network if your isp is a cheap bast*rd.

& there r plenty of ways to test your actual connection speed.. should probably be the first thing u test if having issues,, since its free.. google 'speakeasy, for a decent speed test..

22 Down 3 up Speed fine my speed......i buffer just from 7pm to 11pm, while my buddy same ISP 1.5down .9up very low speed his IPTV runs fine!!! in the Day same 7PM to 11PM freezing...

OK, 300 channels here on the west coast freezing this morning from 9 am on. Have 25 down with 3 up on DSL.
