Stereo receiver volume issue

Mag 254 setup with high end Oknyo receiver with hdmi . I have to turn the volume pretty much to max to get any decent volume out of the mag box . Does anyone have a solution ? Thanks

What type of speakers are you using ?
Buy a sound bar with hdmi input that could max the volume.
