interesting, but slight problem with dates... kubrick died in march, interview was in may of same year.. if true, he looked pretty good for a guy that died 2 months earlier.. possible interview was put out there with glitches to downplay real story.. neil armstrong did end up being basket case.. grissom died on train tracks, probably suicide.. if this is anything like all the other fairy tales that are put out to start wars, etc, then it has validity, imho..

grissom is one of the 3 astronauts that died in 1967 when the test capsule caught on fire

Filmmaker T. Patrick Murray interviewed Kubrick three days before his death in March 1999. He was forced to sign an 88-page NDA to keep the contents of the interview a secret for 15 years.

you're right.. it was a guy named thomas baron that "committed suicide" with family in car when hit by train.. he was a quality control/ safety man for north american aviation, the company contracted to build the capsule.. it seems he was too honest with his reports, which didnt sit well with the brass.. sorry for the mixup..
