friend was having issue with wifi every time she boots up her box and manually had to connect wifi. so I hard wire for her. I called her and made her update her box and removed ethernet cable. gave couple roboots and wifi gets connected instantly. good work formuler team.

i notice the z8 update is dependant on mol2 do z7 boxes have to make the same switch mol2 for firmware updates ? reason i ask is im still at 1.9.62 and dont see an update for 1.9.70 yet i was just wondering if we also have to change to the mol2 in order to update ?

'device or model dependent' is just a statement that defines the different firmware versions for these Formuler Z Series models (excluding the z8) and nothing to do with needing to install the MOL2

The Formuler boxes with the Firmware versions 2.8.70 (and earlier) are the Z-Nano, Z-Plus and Z-Prime models.
The Formuler boxes with the Firmware versions 1.2.70 (and earlier) are the Zx and the Z7+ models.

And the Z8 is different again and not the same Firmware at all.

The MOL2 is currently only available with the z8 models.

It is to solve the issue where some users can't see the new firmware thru the Update app.

This is only an update for the Update Application itself and not a Firmware or an IPTV (MOL) update.
You will see the updating process show 'Check Update v1.1.1' and then it should change to 'Check Update v2.0.0'

That is the Update app version, with v2.0.0 being the new update installed.

You may have to do the update twice in order to get the 2.0.0 version to load.

There was a HotFix release for the Z8/T3 a few days ago.
The Z8 will have an MOL2 version number that begins with 7 , with that latest HotFix release @ version 7.8.7

There was a HotFix release for these models.

there were some other developments too but I have not updated these threads. I did mention it in the forums to someone, I think it was zaang
