I have been reading since 4 am and trying to setup my Mag 254. I can get the inner portal to the reboot. I then get a page that says (Page loading error, please check connection and the page URL). It gives the options of (Try again, embedded portal and portal 1 or go to system settings). The side notes say Internet: off, Ethernet: on , IP: Not available. Please I need help or at lease an explaination. Thank you for your help.

sounds like you dont have an ip address??? check that ether net cable, make sure its plugged up at the router and the mag, reboot modem and router

I am using the same wire that supplies my jynxbox as it is doing now. I will try rebooting modem and router/.

Rebooted modem and router get same page loading error, Internet: off, Ethernet: on, IP: not available. I have been at this for18 hours.I done this so many times I don't even have to look at the setup sheet.

I connected the Mag 254 directly to the modem. Does this mean the modem is bad or was the trouble because I have the lowest internet speed I can get. On Saturday I am going up to 50 Mbps and unlimited internet. Gentlemen I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the help. I owe you all a beer. It runs great and looks great. Please advise about the router, speed and unlimited as to what you think. Again thank you.

yep, requires a new handshake to the modem/router...been there, done that..

Today rebooted modem and router. Ran new wire from a different router port - same Page loading error - Internet: off - IP: not available. Unplugged wire from router and plugged directly into modem and got connection????? Bad router??? I have a desktop, laptop, iks and all work fine from router. Thank you for your help.
