This has been driving me crazy! So, running an Android box, the Nvidia Shield TV, and using Kodi Jarvis. Potato was working fine until a few days ago, but now it shows "working" for a second or so, then stops. So, I tried the iptv reset, and no change. I then tried a whole different addon(ProSD), and it too wouldn't work. I made sure I deleted Potato first, removed all files...userdata etc. OK, so deleted ProSD, all files, etc.,and back to Potato. I tried removing my MAC to just 0's in the Papaio page too. Went back to Kodi and no better. I did numerous IPTV resets along the way, trying to wrestle this into submission....
I'm sorry for being so dense, I'm now between the two age classes of "Senior" and "truly OLD", and my brain isn't working as well as it once did.
What do I need to do to get this up and running again? I've been searching this site for a good 3 hours and my eyes are showing signs of complete failure. Someone who can say, " first do this", then do this, etc. step by step would be helping out an old fart immensely..
For those on NFPS if an IPTV Reset doesn't seem to work, after it had been previously, try changing your portal in the checker and Potato TV. Use p2.iptvprivateserver.tv as a custom setting, no http or /c is required.
I would ask you all to get used to read eveything posted in the "IPTV Talk News & Announcements" sub-forum
especially the "Scheduled Maintenance" thread
when the time comes,
PLEASE DO NOT do anything with your account, not even the IPTV RESET
after the maintenance done,
you may try to re-test your account with my addon
you may consider to perform the IPTV RESET only if your acc. can't work with my addon
and you may also HAVE TO WAIT for few minutes / hours before your new acc. activated
I have had the same issue when I was playing a .ts streming MRL from another different IPTV services
but luckily, I've never had it with the iptv stalker
so I must say, that the issue is probably on your side only
in my case, my issue was related to the url loading timeout, due to the bad routing given by my ISP
all of these following tricks proven worked for me, and maybe for you too
1. changing the connection using the CAT5 cable instead of the WIFI
2. changing the DNS with the fastest one
3. accessing the .ts streaming MRL thru' 3rd party local proxy addon
4. connecting the internet thru' a paid reliable VPN
for trick #3:
I prefer to use the F4M Tester by Shani
but it requires a little skill to tweak the addons original code

in my experiences,
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST anyone to change/rest their account to the new DONATION ONLY based account (null'ed MAC)
especially for those who can still access the pvr stalker client (the built in one) with their original account (the MAC+DONATION based one)
as I said before,
sometimes the resetting process will take few more minutes/hours to get your new account activated
and the chaos will instantly happen when the impatient users here get panic and do ridiculous things
in fact, I'm not young anymore
I'm not affiliated to any services here... I did this for a hobby
I do have some real life obligations (due to my works & my family)
and I also admit that I'm the dumbest person who have ever lived on this planet
I'm pathetic slow learner, especially when I have to learn anything new
but at least,

unfortunetely, that's the cost you have to pay when you decided to deal with the IPTV service
whether you like it or not,
you have to prepare yourself with some techie/geeks/nerdy stuffs
there will be NO TECHNICIAN visiting your home,
thus you must be able to fix your own isssue by yourself
all information will be available separately on different locations
so you must collect them all, peace by peace
and there will not be a MAGIC CURE available
you have to perform TRIALS & ERRORS so many times until you find the proper (not perfect) one
if you can't deal with that,
maybe you should go back to the traditional cable tv service
which is expensive and it will also give you full technical support (money talks)

like i say on other post f4m don't do the trick it still stop after a couple of seconds and yes it is a way to call f4m with pvr there is some info on the net

and I did'nt changed the port # (62555) on purpose
coz I'm sure everyone here can change the # so easily by themselves
open: SETTINGS | MY ADDONS | SERVICES
click: IPTV Simple Plugins Player
click: CONFIGURE
enter your custom PORT # (e.g. 9988 or any available port # on your system)

Really Nice!! Finally with this version I can move from Stalker Client to Coach Potato's Simple Client who put some work into it. Latest version works on my IPad 4, and new Nvidia ShieldTV. Would like to give it a good whirl when service is up 100%. Only thing is I'm not getting the full color epg?
I tried everything and could not get it to work, until I tried the suggestion by dara to change portal from 1 to 2 on both donation checker and potato TV and now I am up and running. Excellent program and a big shout out to the developer. For all who might want to know it is running quite well on Kodi 17.1 I am at this time trying to get the channels to not start from 1 any suggestion would be appreciated.

btw, you can also add your own custom portal by yourself (if the new portal isn't available in the settings' portal list),
by editing the file: "Kodi/addons/plugin.video.potatoTV/resources/portals.list"
One thing I'm seeing is that it will not work while going through a vpn. A soon as I disconnect from the vpn and try the same channel again it works. Is there a fix for this?
