Original or clone Mag 254 box

Hi all,

I'm new to the IPTV world and I'm planning to buy a Mag 254 but I'm not sure how I can get an original one and not a clone, (found a lot of adds on Kijiji Canada of people offering the box for 120$ and 15$ per month for the subscription). Is there any way to check if it's an original one or not ?

Also I assume that the subscriptions on the market are not all the same in terms of quality (up/down and number of channels), is there also a way to know that I'm getting a good one ?

Sorry if these questions have been answered somewhere in the forum but I didn't find them.

heres what to look for 1. On the bottom of the box it should have a Silver Hologram sticker

2. If the date of build is showing as 2015 and it has made in Ukraine then its properly a Clone as Infomir no longer print this on the bottom of the box.

3. If the Bar code is bark and bold, this its properly a Clone.

just go to the Infomir site and click on where to buy.It will give you the retailers that are authorised dealers of the mag, so you will be sure that your not getting a clone.

Thanks Monty49, do I get the same channels doesn't matter who's the provider ? And is there a way to check which channels are offered ?

On a clone the adapter is different as well...the clone has a more square adapter.
