noticed the drunk hog post in chit chat, we have feral hogs here in our state and they are a real nuisance problem for farmers or those raising live stock. A very dangerous animal when encountered and they have no fear of man. A small feral hog can take a man off his feet with ease. They are very destructive here and the policy on taking them is very lenient.

basically the same, came from dometic breeds that got loose and started breeding. This has gone on for many generations of them.

and yes, they have tusks and very poor attitudes....

I have heard they can be nasty little rascals Is it open season on them in your area
if it is you may have to go target practice on them.
They should be good eating there was a fellow raising then here and doing BBQ

Farmer, in the day I used to hunt be not anymore, I have absolutely nothing against hunters but I shoot for different reasons now. There are times when I'll help out farmers or ranchers get rid of predators but that is not a very common thing for me these days.

I really love sport shooting, target shooting, etc. I just no longer feel the need to kill something to enjoy the sport. I like to work on or try to improve a firearm and also enjoy reloading. My main goal these days is competing and the constant quest for consistent accuracy. Don't mind me, I'm a strange ole geezer...LOL

yep heard that by the landing close to rosetown, there was guy that used to grow them and they got loose, and they couldnt get them all back and they say they are naughty little things that dont have many predators in that area ,wolfs are no much for those piggies.lol

to be a hunter that is true to the name, you gotta be on that one game. Your deep freeze has to be close to being empty and you gotta have the tag

Then shoot that animal best as your can . The more effort you take into that, the better chances to fill that deep freeze
But I know that's lots a work, I lost that ambition and even ability to do that years ago

Hear ya, Crazed, hunting is a real art & skill, takes work and dedication. I have very little patience with the city dwellers who come every year and disrespect our land don't want to follow the regs or are very safe with a firearm for that matter.
