Of course some things would be different, such as the specs and etc, but the options and setups should be the same in most cases and similar in other cases.

yes i do
I have a brand new B5 that I am trying to setup to use with IPTV Private Server service. I am using it with Starlink via the WiFi. (I have a T3 that is using the same WiFi and it works perfect). I have set my Mac address on the Papaio site and am using the ID and password provided by Papaio. I keep getting the same message no matter how many times I start from the beginning. It is "Cannot load portal: Not supported", and I have my portal name, portal URL and password entered correctly I believe. Unfortunately I can't post any photos to show you. I figure I am either making the same mistake over and over or I am forgetting something. Any help would be appreciated.

Delete the MAC on panel and enter all info in XC API server settings.

XC or m3u or MAC servers all act the same. I been having this issue for months now with my buzz devices while all other devices I use work fine. I have reported the issue to aab some time ago.
Since the last few days many are reporting to me in PMs about this, all with buzz devices , I think one guy had an avov though.
It's not the server as other devices work with no issues. well it might be the server but it is an issue of compatability with buzz only and not other devices.

I have reported this again to aab :(

when using the MAC method to connect with, do not add your user or password into that setup. leave the credentials box unchecked.

Well, I have tried all the suggestions brought forth so far and still a no go.

Jack
you had the incorrect MAC addy attached to your code.
I fixed it and sent you a message :)

With any IPTV android device the receiver's MAC may be as an example --> e2:22:1b:21:8b:aa
With these iptv android devices, there will be an iptv app preinstalled onboard, as an example would be the Buzz5 app onboard some BuzzTV devices, or the DOL app onboard the Dreamlink and etc... . The server is looking for the IPTV app's MAC as that is what connects to the server.
So what these IPTV app creators have done is change the first 6 digits of the device's MAC, while re-using the last 6 digits, as shown below.
e2:22:1b:21:8b:aa
00:1a:79:21:8b:aa

So in this example you would use the MAC --> 00:1a:79:21:8b:aa

In the top right hand corner the MAC can be found under Server ID.

and this would have solved the problem too.
The BuzzTV devices have this XC API connection option which is damn fine option :)

Well I have tried all the changes suggested including the XC API method. The closest I get is with the MAC method. It tries to load but gets hung up on the ID check. Comes back with "cannot load portal, incorrect username or password". I have tried with and without the credentials. I wish I could post a photo so I could show you what my settings are. Whether it be here or in PM.

Just so others know what has been happening with this problem here is where it stands after many PM's between crazed 9.6 and myself. I very much appreciate his patience with me.

OK, I am able to connect using the XC API method. Now my problem is I am not getting the programs. I get the guide, but when I go to watch It's giving me the error message, "media format is not supported". I believe this is a setting in the Buzz box somewhere and once I figure that out I should be good to go.

To access the Player selections follow the path shown below...
Menu button on RCU > Settings > Configuration > LiveTV or VOD+Series

Check Sticky threads in the Buzz sub-forums of any of the BuzzTV models and all the general guides are mostly generic for all BuzzTV receivers :)

Sorry for taking so long to get back. I was busy yesterday. Life does get in the way sometimes.

I have tried the RCU/menu/settings/configure/live tv. There are two settings there, primary or backup. I tried both, no change.

I tried resetting my account a couple of times, I have been on p2, p3 and p5, no change

Something I find odd is, I tried a movie in the VOD area and got the same result. But when I tried to play a trailer the B5 had no problem playing it from YouTube.

This tells me that the B5 does play video and sound. It is just a problem getting the B5 to stream the data from private server correctly.

The error is still the same at this point. "Media format is not supported".

I wish somebody with a B5 would chime in with their settings.
