Environment Canada just issued an updated Extreme Weather Warning for Northern Alberta
'An Extreme Cold Warning is issued when the temperature or wind chill is expected to reach levels ranging from minus 30°C to minus 55°C for at least two hours depending on your location'
A multi-day episode of very cold wind chills continues.
Wind chill values of minus 40 or colder will continue through the coming week and into next weekend. Some brief improvement may occur during the afternoon hours.
As an Arctic airmass descends southward across Alberta this weekend, this extreme cold warning will continue to be expanded.

Big time rain and wind in riversbend today, all is cool though. Some really bad weather for some though and a few deaths across the south. Holding up a toast to them, and all the peeps that fix everything after a storm. Another 151 a good recliner, TV and dry socks makes for a good evening.
