magbox and epg?

Sorry if this is dumb but its been about a year since i used my magbox 254. I didn't use it much either. I thought I would hook it up again.

Does each IPTV service have their own EPG ? Each one has different software?

I am trying to exit out of the programming. The home button doesn't seem to do anything.

Right now when I hit OK i basically all my channels listed and i can navigate up and down.

might have to perform a factory default data reset on that mag box


and that mag relies on the server epg source... which you enter in the setup process

Oh I see. Thanks. I find either the box or the software from the IPTV provider somewhat buggy. Maybe I’ll try a reset and re enter the credentials.

with a data reset on that mag, your credentials will still be intact

is a data reset the same as a factory reset? Or are they different?

data reset is what they call it on most android devices, but yes a factory reset is same


and I am not nice really, most prolly think me a bit of an ass

Hmm any idea why sometimes I select a channel and the screen is black but I hear audio.? So weird. And I can’t get out of the screen. I have tried pressing many buttons on the remote. No luck.

iis this software related from the IPTV or the box itself software. so buggy.

I really want to like this mag box but it’s difficult. Always issues.

your server credentials will stay intact when you do a data reset... just do it.. and maybe twice in a row

When in doubt reboot your ass out

graphic res. 1280x 720

Boot mode = NAND2 ( whatever the F that means) :/

do not worry

that boot mode at nand2 is good, but can be changed in circumstances, yours is not one

Okay I reset three times, (NAND, nand2 and dhcp). I’m now back at the home screen.

i did leave the boot up at NAND? Just because I followed some tutorial lol

whats the difference anyways?

Okay I knew I shouldn’t have rebooted etc . Now all I get is audio. The screen is black for every channel I want to see full screen. In the guide I can see video in the tiny box. I hit OK to expand. Then all I get is a black screen, ugh.

Will do. I had to reset the video settings. Very confusing to know what settings I’m suppose to use. Hopefully that’s in the tutorial. Trying to get reacquainted with mag.

im assuming there must be easier boxes to use/understand.
