Mag vs Kodi?

Hi all,

Could someone give me a brief run-down of the benefits of a MAG250 vs an Android Kodi-based IPTV receiver?

Also, do most portals offer standard UK Freeview TV?

I ask as I'm looking for a reliable IPTV solution due to my girlfriend living in a property with no external aerial or satellite dish - and installing one is not an option. Wanting to avoid Kodi if possible.

mags are Linux based iptv boxes, kodi is an android or pc based software media operations system

Appreciate the response, I'm aware of the 'bare-bones' as it were.

What I was asking about was general advantages/disadvantages in usability, reliability and stream quality.

Basically - is it worth paying for a MAG portal or will there not be a notable difference from the free streams available from Kodi addons? Also in terms of user friendliness, is the MAG more like a traditional DVB receiver in that you have a channel list and EPG, as oppose to Kodi which has a plethora of addons to need to choose from, many containing the same things?

Why not just get an avov TVOnline+ and you would have the best of both worlds.

I've never heard of an Avov TVOnline+

So these allow for the use of both Kodi & a MAG portal? Around how much (GBP) would I looking at for one of those?

There are none in the UK but they do have great delivery service anywhere in the world, the best if you ask me.
