I do not see any new push for the mag254
It is not showing thru http on the mag254 itself or at their firmware website.

There was, as of yet an unofficial file for the Mag256.
But that is not on infomir website either.

I just went to the inner portal and was there ,same number but different date ,I did it don't see nothing different so far.

sometimes they just update to keep up with middleware when they update as well.

I do know there has been an expected new file push for the newer 256 model. The new file for that showed up about a week or so ago on the web, but was not pushed thru the box yet.

Far as this 254 r16 fileand what the update is for, Bkman prolly has the answer

I noticed when i stuck an airmouse keypad in the mag it worked a treat. Cursor select and exit . Could it be a tweak for external remotes?

We can use it for a discussion thread concerning this new firmware update.


I have noticed something new with the mag 254 after the newest update r16
There was another that posted same thing but do not know if he has updated to new firmware yet.

The functions become un-reponsive when scrolling Live channels.
I see it coming because the channels will all go dark no matter which channel I go to, then it gets stuck on a channel and will not respond.
Needs a reboot by unplugging it, to gain back response and channels.

Has happened 3 times since the new update was installed last night.

Is this a problem with the update ?
Anyone see this same thing, please report and which firmware your mag 254 may have onboard.

the new update has locked me out of getting channels was working fine before i updated !!!!

Yup new update locks me out and have to do a reset, then works for 5 minutes then wifi cuts out have to reset then 5 mins and same thing

The new firmware and I have had mine lock up solid and have to power cycle it to get it working again.

things have not gotten any better with the r16 firmware... so I went back to the r14

You can still update back to the r14 thru your receiver (no need for USB loading)
The r14 is still on the server, but you have to go into inner portal and then Settings and then Software Update.
It should show as the r14 there ready for update.

Also noticed since I went back to r14 is that in that inner portal settings menu, there are icons that disappeared with the r16 but came back with the r14

New update might be causing connection problem

things have not gotten any better with the r16 firmware... so I went back to the r14

I updated to R16 and I kept getting a connection problem box. Even though internet is working fine. But the Box kept throwing the connection out. So reverted back to the R14 and it seems to be working fine. If you guys want the URL link for R14 let me know.
