I noticed all the channels have a red dot in them now. Does that mean anything, like we can record now?

I also noticed the Yellow Favorites button works and you can sort to use the favorites you set. Don't remember that working before.

I also can't get the volume or the setings button to work after the update. There volume is super low and I'm unable to adjust it. Any suggestions?

I tried going back to r14 and still the volume will not work, so it is something to do with rocket. I guess we have to just wait.

I was have the same problem and had a feeling it was because I programmed the remote to control the TV. Try resetting the remote so that it does not control the TV and see if that works for you?

Does anyone have r14 firmware? I want to go back to it. This new r17 has to many bugs.

r14 and r16 and r17 are all still available right there thru your mag receiver.... I just checked and they are all there



depending where you are at in the menu screens, get into the Inner Portal.
If you are in Live TV and Video Club viewing menus, then scroll over till you see the Settings tab and scroll down and in there is a 'Go to Inner Portal' option.
Then into the next Settings tab you will see there.
Then in there ensue it shows...
Autoupdate : With Confirmation
Update beta versions = On

Then use the green button on remote (update Manually).
Then with New Version slot highlighted, use the bottom left hand button on your remote (as pictured on that New Version slot). That function will bring up any and all versions available.



Mag does do a reboot automatically after a file has been loaded, but there is also a Reboot Device option, shown in that Settings tab menu.
It may fix that Audio issue.

... Press SETUP and OK button at same time and hold for 2 seconds red LED will flash 5times. Reset is done.

they are referring to the Linux kernel
Every Operating System has a core kernel, windows has their own, linux has their own and so on...
The Kernel is the core of a computer's operating system, with complete control over everything in the system.
It is the first program loaded on start-up. It handles the rest of start-up as well as input/output requests from software, translating them into data-processing instructions for the central processing unit.

When they say kernel update is needed, it just means that they want you to load the new file for the added features or fixed issues.
