Has anyone had problems with their Mag 254 losing the sound? If so what did you do to get it back

first thing to try is a reboot... unplug power for 10 sec.s or so..

Go to settings :video : Press f1 :hdmi/dvi enter hdmi than reboot and make sure sound is up could be on mute

I had the problem once. I unplugged the hdmi cable and plugged it back in and the sound returned. I guess that the small pins in the hdmi did not stay connected properly. If you get sound back and it goes again, then try a different hdmi cable. If this trick does not work, then I would contact the seller of the box for a replacement/repair.

Sometimes just blow into the connections before attaching them they may have some sort of dust.

that's what i did wasn't getting both sound and picture

What i have done for now is switch to dvi cables sound works great

Hi...what I found was that not all sound faults are due to the box. In my case the source settings of my TV where at fault. After changing the HDMI port setting from 'Enhanced' to 'Regular', and re booting the mag box, cured the problem.
