John Berry, a founding member of the Beastie Boys who is credited with concocting the group's name, died Thursday morning at a Danvers, Massachusetts, hospice, Rolling Stone reports. He was 52.
He was in the band in the beginning, but only was with them for about a year, and on their first EP, the hard core punk Pollywog Stew. Nice of the band to fully credit him. Too young to go regardless.
