update today i purchased mag322w1 set up same as my 254 and now iam back on
to early to say if it same or better ...did notice some freezing on some channels
the wifi works ok but i disable it in network set up..

in my case yes vast improvement over 254 faster, better picture my is setup for 1080p as my other sub has 4K channels
I was having over heating issues with the 254 causing dropped signals/and rebooting

For some reason mine does not show me picture in picture on epg. I updated it to the latest update. Now I'm wondering if I should go back to the previous software.

Yes, try going back. I have seen reports that going back to the previous version helps.
