The emulator is meant to be run on android. You would use the x86 version if you have android installed on an x86 system, or you are running emulation on an x86 system.

Wait for the next version of the STB Emulator for the ability to enter your username/password (donation number).

That is the up to date one for now

and ive been tinkering with the app but not understanding after much reading..may i ask, for the thousand's time? lol

i see the error message like others '...contact provider, blah blah blah" so this means then, i cannot go into settings and fiddle around or edit any info yet to get it to work,? also, there WILL be (on feb 1) a place in settings to enter my pass? cuz as of right now i dont see anywhere at all to enter it

also, the error message (big blue screen) won't disappear when i click on ALL APPS (within my android box) it remains there..is there a way to remove/delete/ or better yet EXIT out of that screen to browse my apps ? all i see is the red button <reload portal> which is annoying - thanks

Could you give me a link to your Shield so I can check why it's not supported?

I think I know why it doesn't available. Nvidia Shields are in Android TV group, and it requires a few changes for me to do to make the app available for Android TVs. Will try to make these changes asap.

New Release 0.7.11

v.0.7.10.01
* Added more configuration options for IjkPlayer.
* Added a new player (ExoPlayer). It is based on Android's internal player and uses system codecs.
* Fixed UPnP/DLNA browsing.
* Fixed menu and keyboard issues on some devices.
* Fixed some crashes.

OTA updates for NFPS/Rocket/iptv66 will be available tomorrow, but if you want you may install them now using the links below.

ExoPlayer in another one player based on Android's internal codecs. It supports the same media formats as the Internal player, but has some more features, like support of HLS streams. This is just a preview of the player and if it works good it will replace the Internal player in future.
I've also added some more settings for IjkPlayer. Now you can disable player's buffering (set flag "nobuffer" in Ijk player settings->FFlags; for now only a single flag may be set in FFlags group), that will speed up channels switching. However for now if you set this flag you may not see a video on some channels (it's a known bug and I hope IjkPlayer developers will fix it).
Now the keyboard input should work good on most devices (including login/password, switching channels by number, etc). Tested on Fire TV stick and some other devices I have.
The are also some fixes for the app's menu. In most cases it shouldn't hide after a few seconds after it was shown. However on some devices this bug still appears if some channel is playing. So if you still have this bug and cannot open the app's menu, just go to portal's main menu (the channel should stop) and try again.
