Hi, I am having problems with my mag 254 box constantly losing the connection ,and always locking up ,and showing loading at the bottom of the screen.Unplugging it ,and plugging it back in, to only have it lock up again 5 to 15 minutes later after the upgrade. I'm hoping that by figuring out how to set up kodi and to figure out how to put my information from my mag 254 box,that I will be able to watch tv on kodi without this dropping connection,freezing up ,loading problem. Will this work to get me away from the problem I and many others are having ? Also I am worried that if I try to move my information over to the kodi ,that If, and when I try to go back to my mag 254 box.That my info will be blacklisted and will not work again for the mag 254 box if they fix this terrible problem. What are the facts on all these questions. Thanks in advance for all your help.

First you can't use kodi on mag 254 box. but if you have kodi in a other box then yes you can move your donation back in fort by doing a reset every time you switch. You only get blacklist if you use both at the same time

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping to leave the mag 254 box totally alone right now ,and use a spare computer to set up kodi to bypass the mag 254, losing connection, freezing up, loading problem . Are there any Kodi users having that problem ?. Also ,I am totally new to Kodi,and setting up my information onto the Kodi program. What version of Kodi should I be using for this,and what add on is needed on kodi to load all my information transfered over from the mag 254 box,and to load the channels and everything needed . A step by step guide link for setting up Kodi,and step by step guide to load the proper add on needed,and the step by step guide for setting up NFPS information and channels. This will be a huge job for me since I am pretty computer illiterate. Thanks for all your help.This is greatly appreciated

Hi, Thanks for the link. Many of the posters have said that the new versions of kodi are not allowing proper installation of the add ons. Which older version of kodi should I use to avoid this problem. Will going back to version 14.2 be the best or is there a better older version that works the best. Thanks

Hi, Is the kodi version 14.2 too old a version to work properly. I was hoping the older version would be less problematic so I would only half to set kodi up once with everything working. But you are the expert so if you can confirm the kodi 16.1 is the best version. over the older 14.2 I will go ahead after you verify. Thanks again

For One thing Stalker PVR Client does not work In till version 15.1

Go With 16.1 Both Stalker Client and simple client works with the System..

I my self is running 17.1 with no problems.

On your Mag are you using WIFI or Cat 5 Direct connection?

okay guys, I am kinda laughing and confused at same time
Mag does not do kodi as prolly coomaster knows and big dady mentioned in first post

you guys are knocking me off my chair !@!!

For the network, unplug from router and use another port, Next time it goes out check the router for the connection lights should be 100 mbs and data should be flashing.

Then try rebooting the router wait 5 mins to see if tv is back on.

Also try WIFI. WIFI is fine to run the IPTV and VOD with out freezing . any freezing will be on the provider's end. Not yours.

But he does He is saying that his mag is not working shutting down every 15 min. and wants to setup KODI Never said what Box tho.
