I was told package installer is fixed

you are incorrect, the mag boxes don't have this prob, and some of the avovs don't either. If you use the remote to turn on/off the online the main menu time starts from when last used. Normally the epg time is correct, thks

The reason that I say this is...
I recently purchased a new ASUS router, the time was off until I went into the router settings and changed it. When the time was off in the router it was off on the box. When I set the correct time on the router the time was correct on the box. If I shut the router off (and leave it off) and reboot the box, the time/date is wrong and never updates. When I turn the router back on the time/date on the box corrects itself within a minute or two.
The evidence that I am seeing seems pretty conclusive.
Anyone who disagrees, please tell me where else it gets the time/date from?

if you have the remote have you tried holding the off button for a few second that might bring the screen with off or restart ,press restart and see,or you can unplug it to see if after plugging it back in it goes through restart that way also and keep us informed .
