hey I use a nesco dehydrator with nesco seasoning from their website. you mix 1 pound of meat with 1 seasoning packet. I use the original one and add ground cayenne pepper to spice it up. They have a recipe that uses ground beef (96% pure) and it goes in an gun that resembles a caulk gun. it may not be what you are looking for but everyone I give it to loves it. check it out.

Been a while since I made it but when I did, I used to get the leanest cut from the local butcher. I'd slice it about 1/8" thick then marinate it in different spices with soy sauce overnight. I'd then dehydrate the strips for about 24 hours - the trick is not to over dehydrate because the jerky becomes really hard.
