It has been more than 10 days now since I contacted Papaio Support about the "Firmware of your STB is outdated" message from my MAG 520 box, and nothing has been done.

It appears that the outdated Ministra Middleware version (5.3.0) running on your P2 server causes this error.

When will it be fixed?

-Look for an Update in your device's menus. Look for a manual or forced update function.
-Look for a 'compatibility' function in the device's menus some place, I do not know exactly where or even if that 520 has that function, But check and if it's there then set it to 254 or 322

Otherwise seems these infomir devices have their days numbered on the papaio servers :(

hi crazed your right there is a compatibility for mag 520 it's in setting in servers unfortunately my mag 524 does not have a compatibility feature did read snowgoose said ministra middleware version 5.3.0 is causing error my mag should have version 5.6.0 or later and will this be corrected at any time soon

To tell the honest truth I do not think Papiao services will be proceeding further with what they've already done with Ministra allowances.
The setup with other portal and that compatibility system and also some infomir(mag) devices may take a forced update which seems to help, or as some reports go... all that does seem to help but even all that fails more regularly it seems.

Coming from one of the papiao administrators (my boss, the Rocket admin) he said he was even himself suggesting to his client base that they should be upgrading away from the infomir devices, started telling them that some time ago, I was told.
We had warnings posted here, I had warned that Mag devices would not be reliable in coming future with papiao , but that was some time long while ago. It was not a baseless prediction, it was based on how Mag Infomir themselves were changing their marketing strategies :eek:

Update: Managed to get a second hand MAG351 STB which only needs Ministra v5.0.3 to run on your P1 server, and now I have channels again, which is what I paid for! There is no "backward compatability" feature on either the MAG520 or MAG351, as suggested.

The sweeping statement by crazed 9.6 that "they should be upgrading away from the infomir devices" doesn't help when no other devices are suggested. The IPTV Smarters app doesn't work either on a Samsung TV no matter how many times I reset my Rocket.

All in all, pretty poor support from Papiao Staff both online and by email.

New Update: Previously I have a MAG520 which worked fine for many years, now with a MAG351 (since the Firmware of your STB is outdated issue) more than 60% of the channels no longer load. Not one UK channel works, not one!!. Movie channels or TV Series channels don't work either, just "Server Unavailable" or "File not Found" errors. Since your upgrade, change or whatever you did two weeks ago, the Papaio servers and streaming service is shite. If your going to take peoples money, then provide a service.

If someone tells you stay away from using a Mag you shouldn't purchase another one. ;)
