External speakers stopped working today

I had my MAG254 plugged into my Samsung Blu-Ray and had the sound through the 5.1 speakers but it simply stopped working yesterday.

If I switch off the Blu-Ray player and back on again the sound comes back for a few seconds then goes off again.

Sound can still work through the tv speaker but I want to know what's happened !

Anyone have any ideas ?

Probably a problem with your cable from the mag to the bluray. It could also be a problem with the length or just that cable. Try using the optical output and see what happens.

On further thought, I think you have a HDCP problem. HDCP is HDMI encryption to keep us from copying stuff. You might want to try versions of HDMI cables, but the best guaranteed way of overcoming HDCP is to use component and digital audio to the bluray input, if possible. You can always convert HDMI to component.
