Buzztv box XPL3000

I'm interested in PVR functionality on the BuzzTV XPL3000, particularly in setting up scheduled recordings while away from the house/STB unit.
I haven't examined Timeshift enough to see if it will provide me with what I'm looking for at an alternate time. Still like the idea of a simple, reliable PVR Recording feature though.
I'm currently torn between ordering a BuzzTV XPL3000 now, or waiting for whatever may be coming next from the Dreamlink peeps, as I'd like to have the BuzzTV XPL3000 and the newest Dreamlink box at the same time....but I'm so freakin' tired of the erratic (freezing) performance of the MAG254 STB I've been using since December of 2015 that the DL T1+, the BuzzTV XPL 3000, or even an empty soup can with string sounds waaaayyyy more appealing at this time on NFPS than this annoying MAG254! Grrr!!

I hope both Buzz and DL keep and improve the PVR function in their latest offerings...either way, Ive got to get something better than what has been driving me nucking futz for the past 2 years! LoL;)

I too am looking for a new box because my dreamlink t1 just died.

However, I have some mag 254 and they are super reliable. If you're having problems you describe, this is likely a network or server issue, not a hardware issue.

What steps have you done to confirm it's the hardware that is bad?

Just got the XPL 3000, think the box works excellent so far. One issue I'm having is that on the epg, I can only go back 24 hours to watch catchup shows. I know that the server goes back further, as the Dreamlink T1 will take me back 5 days to watch shows successfully. Anyone know if this is a setting that can be changed, or if there's any method to request this be addressed in an update by the Buzz team?

Actually it does matter, he stated it and I want to know wether he heard it from the company or elsewhere. I'm just curious, don't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

I also knew the update for these units were coming today, how I know, it doesn't matter. What matters is loading the update on the box when it's available. Replace your curiosity with anxiety to load that update and enjoy your unit.
