BuzzTV 5 App Improved Features

Update went well on the 4900 model. It started automatically and was maybe 2 or 3 minutes for the update to complete.
I had the X5 model on the shelf as it had crashed a couple times recently and ended on a blank screen when connected to a server. Hooked it up and took this newest update and all seems fine.

I updated all mine on Monday and it went fine as expected.

New Update
Buzz 5 V5.0.937
Sept 11th, 2024



Sent to All Boxes running Buzz 5 except those on android 13.

Changes:

- Added Lithuanian language support
- Added movie quality list feature for MAC servers
- Search by actor names now uses server API on MAC servers
- Added forced aspect ratio configuration
- Fixed the app wouldn't load season list for some tv shows on MAC servers
- Fixed a minor issue when creating PVR recordings
- Minor Bug Fixes

This is an App Update, not Firmware update
It will automatically download + Install
To install it manually, you can do the following

When in Live TV, on the Home Screen or in Server Settings
Press Menu
Go to Settings
Select Check Update.

New Update
Buzz 5 V5.0.937

- P6 PowerStation
V5.0.937 did not install on the P6 128 w/Android 13 and Buzz5 app.
But another Beta file did install for the P6 ... and we are now up to Version 1.0.28 with the P6/Buzz6 app
This time the PowerStation device did not have to be rebooted (power cycled with the power cord). The New Update message appeared soon as I fired up the P6 device and while still on the Home Screen, cool beans

- X5 128 SuperSport
V5.0.937 did not install on the X5 128 SS w/Android 13 and Buzz 5 app.

- X5 128 AI
V5.0.937 did install on the X5 128 AI w/ Android 11 OS and Buzz5 app.
The New Update message appeared automatically, once I connected thru the Buzz5 app.

- XRS4900
V5.0.937 did install on the XRS4900 w/Android ?? OS and Buzz5 app.
I am not sure of the Android OS version, as the text is out of resolution as seen in the menu. I never did or could set that. It almost looks like it is Android 9, but can't say for sure
This New Update thru the 4900 did not appear on Home Screen, nor did it when Buzz5 was accessed. I then pulled the power cord and reconnected and then opened the Buzz5 app and there was the Update message

installation process took only seconds with both devices.

getting popup installing update and disappears in few seconds but nothing happening. cleared cache and reboot the box still no luck. still at 5.0.936.

We turned it off just now

We were testing sending 937

However it seems like we will need to do a Firmware update instead, as the app OTA is not working properly

Will fix it for future updates in the Firmware update.
