I've been out of the loop for a while ...last box I had was a Buzztv 3000.......Just bought a Buzz B5 and want to set it up with NFPS
Things have changed.......What is the best way to connect NFPS to my box......In the past I always used Mac and credentials ....but now there is XC API login also.........what is the difference and the best way to do it.......does using the Mac address also give me a good EPG for live tv...VOD and TV-Series

I have been looking all over town for you, for like a year or more.
So good to hear from you

I can answer a couple questions.

When using the MAC method, you do not need to add credentials into the server setup, just the Server URL needs to be entered. The MAC of course needs to be added to your login at the papiao website.

Using the XC method, the MAC should not be added to your login. You would add your credentials and the Server URL into your XC setup.
With the XC method, you will get the papiao EPG automatically, like the MAC method does.

Also since your MAC is not added to your login, you could also set up a M3u portal with the Playlist URL (Generic w/options) and acid's EPG URL and even a second m3u portal with papiao's EPG URL.
Then you can simply switch from XC to m3u without having to visit the papaio website. Plus with m3u you can test other EPGs, like acid's and papiao's just by switching between the two m3u portals you had setup.

I'll post them EPG URL's here on your thread in case you ever want to set them up thru m3u

To get the Playlist URL, log on at papiao , ensure the MAC is deleted from there and Select a Playlist. That option is just below where the MAC would be seen.
Select --> Generic plus options. then the Playlist URL will appear there.

XC API has always been available on all models including the XPL 3000.

Papiao's EPG URL

--Replace PORTAL with your server URL
--Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with your credentials.

Acid's EPG URL

Thanks Crazed.........been a long time.........nice to hear from you too.........well I'm going to try both ways.........easy to switch back and forth ........I'm guessing the epg from the links you gave me are better then the papiao.....

This firt EPG URL is papiao's and can be used with m3u setup
The second one is acid's and yes it usually is better then papiao's but most times both are great.
That's the beauty of setting up two m3u portals in the Buzz server settings. Then you can switch with ease to either one, to compare.

And also set up the XC portal too, switching to that one will be with ease too, once it's setup.

I had papioa's EPG URL incorrect in that previous post. I corrected it, I think I got it right now
It is posted in acid's thread someplace, if what I have there is still incorrect.

and just one more thing, perhaps too late to do you any good but you can use Total Commander Editor/Manager to copy/paste these long URLs into the Buzz setups
