Android IPTV STB Emulator

Running an M8, with kodi 15.2 stalker pvr 8.3 or 8. 4 , cant remember right now, using stb 6.16, using the mac i originally signed up with, made Up serial # etc, stb and, stalker have the same settings, both work fine, i really dont get changing mac and all, and i am using 78: in the mac address, i used the same instructions for the stb, except i did not change the mac, how ever it took 4 or 5 trys, and what made it work, was i unplugged the box for a few mins.

I do have the same settings in both STB Emulator and IPTV Stalker, on IPTV STALKER (and pvr stalker 0.8.3) there is place to enter DEVICE ID 2 & SIGNATURE (which do not exist on the STB EMULATOR settings), Device ID1, Serial number & MAC are same on both apps, but what do I enter for Device ID2 and Signature in the iptv stalker? Currently only STB EMULATOR works, iptv stalker says failed authorization, because i had put random number in Device ID 2 and signature, please let me know what you have in these two fields as STB Emulator does not require these two entries. tnx

APUN, awesome information!

I am a new user with a new donation. I entered my 78 number into my STB emulator software on my Chinese Android M8 and the service is working well.

BUT.....

I did not generate any Serial or Device ID's or check the Send DEVICE ID info. I used all defaults on the profile. Yet it still works. If you were me would you let this go since it is working or proceed with adding\changing serial and Device ID and send button check?

My concern is, of course, that it stops working at some point! Thanks much!

If this is the only device you will be using then leave it as is (dont fix it if its not broken lol), You only need to create serial number and Device ID if you wanted to make it easier to program another device with same MAC. Also make sure your serial number is not all 0's (default is 13 0's), because that is easier to compromise if your MAC ever got compromised by someone else.

If there is something reporting back settings via an installed add-on, a VPN does nothing to hide that sent MAC. The VPN does 'relocate' the destination and creates a secure point-to-point tunnel between you and the source, but it does nothing to stop the actual information from being passed.

I think i just figured out my own problem, to use same MAc on STB EMULATOR and IPTV STALKER (or PVR Stalker client 0.8.3/0.8.4), you must setup STB Emulator first with new MAC adress and a serial number and device ID (instructions are in my post above), then once STB Emulator works.

Now configure IPTV Stalker/PVR Stalker Client in Kodi and enter the same MAC & Serial number that you have in STB Emulator, now you will have 4 more fields to fill (TOKEN, DEVICE ID1, Device ID2 and Signature) in stalker settings, leave "TOKEN" empty and for the other three fields use the "EXACT SAME" Device ID number you have in your STB EMULATOR.

So basically STB EMULATOR DEVICE ID = DEVICE ID1 = DEVICE ID2 = Signature in Stalker settings. This method worked for me and currently I can use STB Emulator & PVR Stalker using the same mac address (again only one at a time).

I start the VPN first then launch just the STB emulator. I know of no situation where a MAC has been stolen when using this method. (No other addons are running or installed and no Kodi is running)

Apun, Thanks! I can confirm this is working on an Amazon Fire TV with a customized 5-character DEVICE ID using numbers and one capital letter.

I have a couple questions for which I couldn't find the answers elsewhere: 1) I've noticed that the VOD movies will stop within 5 minutes, then stop playback with a "cannot play this link" error. Is there a tweak I can make somewhere, or is "Just Me" and no one else is having this problem? FTR, I'm using MX Player. 2) Using MX Player, I can't get a preview on the channel selection screen. Should I try VLC and see if that makes a difference?

Thanks again for the fix!

can anyone upload a screenshot of where to change the device id and serial numbersettings in the stb emulator?

After i did all of this, I am getting error message authentication problem

try reset mac address.
you can do it by login papiao site or contact your provider
and make sure click "send device id to..." in Device ID (any older version the 7.11)
if you are using version 7.11 it sends device id info automatically.

Hi,
Everything was working perfect. I closed the app to watch kodi, now i get can't connect to network. I don't even get the losing bar.

**things are good now**

But I have a new issue or comment.
Why is STB emulator do slow?

Personally I found it much easier and fluid to navigate on Kodi rather than emulator. But the image quality is better on emulator.

Dear All.
First of all, thanks for all the information I found on this forum in order to use my android tv properly.
I have an android box with STB emulator installed. Being upset with the internal player, I am now using Mx player and satisfied with it. However, I have one question, Is it possible to change channel while watching a program? or the only way to watch another channel is to exit mx player and select another channel ? I also would like to know if it is possible to record a program with the Stb Emulator. Thanks in advance for your help
