I've recently bought a MAG254 IPTV SetTopBox to watch Dutch television after I move abroad. A friend of mine told me that there's a possibility to add (free) new channels using IP addresses or something like that, but since he never looked deeply in to the topic and does not own such a device he has not been able to test/figure out how it exactly works.

The maker of this video explains how to make a list of channels. However, the video left me with some questions; so I decided to go here to ask them.
1. Will this method of adding channels work for my MAG254?
1.1 If so, how do I put this list on my device?
2. If this does not work, is there an other way to add channels?
