adding apps manually

I have searched and maybe I looked right passed it, so, not trying to be redundant, but is there a way to manually add apps to the AVOV tv-on-line ? or is it what we get is what is there?
Just curious because, there are so many more movie/tv apps on my AVOV 1 than my friends AVOV Tv-On-Line. I was surprised.
