503 Service Temporarily unavailable - Connecting issue

Wasn't sure where to put this but have been seeing on my MAG254 'connection problem' flash up at the top of the screen when scrolling around channels.

On running a network trace the portal server is returning lots of 503 messages back......

This also happens when the portal is loading and the MAG is trying to download the menu image files etc....

I am sure the admins are on to it put just wanted to point it out.

This is also what i would think is causing people to be having issues connecting with MAG's and emulators, Kodi plugin's will work better as they don't need the menu's downloading from the portal.

When I was on vacation I saw the "connection problem" flash up at the top middle of the screen. Although it was occurring when watching VoD, I didn't touch anything and it went away. That could very well be the issue why people can't load in to the portal. I do notice that it loads a lot slower to log in than it used to since the fight on May 2.

Just tried this again and not seeing anywhere near the same amount of these 503 messages.

The portal is loading ok as well.

Strange that none of the more prolific posters have not commented on this thread?

Check your isp. The error you are seeing is between your isp and you.

????? I'm at work, 100mb leased BT point to point fibre into the isp....

Check with your Internet Service Provider or could be very well a firewall issue.

If you google error 503 there is lots reasons why you are getting error 503.

Thanks for the response but I don't think it is.

I'm the network engineer who looks after my works firewalls and its only 4 hops from leaving the isp to the ip address which '1.iptvprivateserver.tv' resolves to.....

All I'm saying is that today the 503 messages are a lot less so something must have changed on the backend servers and people 'should' be seeing less problems getting the portal to load.

If you google error 503 there is lots reasons why you are getting error 503.

503 is coming from '31.220.2.33' not google.....
