VLC AND FLAC For Music

I have a pretty good audio system, so I converted most of my music to FLAC and put them on a USB stick. Attached it up to my Android box, so I could listen to my music on my audio system. VLC makes a good player for music that goes through my android to my receiver.

The other nice thing about VLC is the you can use it from you computer to your android box. In my case I have a Mac, so I use UPnP with Universal Media Server that's a free Mac program. FLAC seems to be the digital that works for most.

Give it a try.

@jjjackson, Nice buddy, i've been using spotify for years now (It's easy for road trips, and cars, and home, tvs, all in one search streamed up with as good quality as you want), i used to run a few music sites, back then it was all mp3 with winamp.
I've used flac and vlc, they work very well. VLC has been hard to kill these years :) still use it everyday for movies/testing/ffmpeg and more.

Mp3 compression just doesnt have the great audio for a good system. FLAC even sounds better in a good car system. I dont even like listening to Sirius because it's so compressed. AAC and FLAC sound much better in a car.
