Channels I'd like To See On IPTV

Thanks for the quick response! I rebooted (Mag 254) and still got the "file missing" pop-up.
However...... messing around with the guide and channel 400 is duplicated at channel 1400, and that one works! There is also a Tennis Channel 2 at 1399 but it doesn't have sound. Any ideas on the sound issue?

okay, getting those others at ..
779 Tennis Channel 3 - audio and video both working.
780 Tennis Channel 2 - audio and video both working.
781 Tennis Channel - audio and video both not working.

I get the channel numbering different here then you because different connection method. Using m3u on Buzz device here, instead of MAC method.

Why your Mag has no sound and missing channels could be due to codecs or server portal, maybe.

Thanks again. I'll check into the codecs or server portal... I'm very new at this stuff so it'll take me while to figure what that all means!
Looks like I might have to give up on the linux platform and go to the android.... Buzz.
Thanks for your help... very much appreciated.

The codecs are part of how the receiver is capable of displaying video and audio. Nothing you can do about that.
Iinux platform is good and possibly better then android in some respects. That Mag 254 is old though and is short on codecs and such things. I have a mag 254 here and do fire it up on occasions, it's very outdated though as I noticed compared to many other devices I have include a linux box new from buzz. And the newer Mag linux boxes have updated codec thingys too :)
Buzz Android devices do give more options when it comes to almost anything though, they are Androids and apps are their buisness :)

The portal can be changed at your login at the papiao website, unless you are a rocket user then I'd have to change that for you.

Yeah, it's the Can vs Hun match on tennis channel 2 I was hoping to watch on 1399 here. Besides no sound, it has a lot of buffering too.
yea that buffering is most likely due to the mag device... You could try using the m3u playlist method on that mag to see if any difference but it's a learning process and you would not get a EPG (guide) with that method on the Mag device.

Awesome response! I am a rocket user so maybe a portal change may be the answer.
However, it's snowing like crazy here which means I have to spend the next few hours with a snow shovel....
Signing off for a bit...
okay when you are ready send me a private message with your email and rocket code. And then when both of us are online a same time, we'll get er done :)

Okay, thanks. I really appreciate you reaching out to help an old timer!
I got to thinking about your comment about the 254 being an older unit that lacks some codecs.
Can you suggest which model of Infomir Mag (utilizing the linux system) would be a good choice?
I think it's time to upgrade and looking for advice.

Thanks, Cheers.

Buzztv makes the Android devices, mostly. They do make a linux device too, just one and it's a brand new device. I don't think it's in the stores yet but will be soon. It's like your Mag being a Linux device but better. Of course it being a new device, it is updated with the specs needed. The L1 also has some nice options and connection methods. I have had one here for short while now and has been a good device. It will be priced at more of a bargain then their other (buzztv's) higher line devices.
