Of course some things would be different, such as the specs and etc, but the options and setups should be the same in most cases and similar in other cases.

NEW B5 not connecting to IPTVPRIVATESERVER

Sorry for taking so long to get back. I was busy yesterday. Life does get in the way sometimes.

I have tried the RCU/menu/settings/configure/live tv. There are two settings there, primary or backup. I tried both, no change.

I tried resetting my account a couple of times, I have been on p2, p3 and p5, no change

Something I find odd is, I tried a movie in the VOD area and got the same result. But when I tried to play a trailer the B5 had no problem playing it from YouTube.

This tells me that the B5 does play video and sound. It is just a problem getting the B5 to stream the data from private server correctly.

The error is still the same at this point. "Media format is not supported".

I wish somebody with a B5 would chime in with their settings.

I use the same settings on all my devices which is primary for all.
If a channel or VOD gives an error I will try backup.

There would not be any settings preset that would be causing this, other then changing that Player.
The B5 is no different then the other BuzzTV devices with the server setups, or Player usage. I have tested the B5 in the past, as well as all the Buzz devices.

Put it on the SyFi channel leave it there for up to 5 minutes, see what happens.

When you are changing the Server URL portal (p1, p2 and etc) are you changing it in your device's setup and also at the papiao website login ?

Portals don't seem to be the problem. I am able to connect and get the EPG. Just no programming. I tried the Sci-Fi channel and it was a no go. Are there any channels that are in the clear? Maybe I could get one of them. I am thinking I will do a factory reset on the B5 and see what happens.

Jack

Well, doing a factory reset on the B5 changed nothing.

I'm just spit balling here. I have 2 Papaio Donations, would running them both on the same Starlink system cause a problem? The reason I ask this is a message I saw today after I did the factory reset. It was before I deleted the Mac address on the site and it said something about the account being blocked or deleted.

Jack

PPV channels are clear/open.
That blocked message is kind of deceiving, not sure but doesn't always mean what it says.
Can you try the non-working code onto that other device , for test ?

If that works, then take that previously working code and try it on the B5, for test.

Make sure the firewall is disabled.

But server portal is probably the problem, yes.
Many have had this issue, including myself. A portal change fixed most issues. We all would get the EPG too as you describe. Also the PPV channels and a few other clear channels would work but nothing else. A portal change brought back the rest of the channels.
This issue must be stemming from the server or ISP in some way. This has happened in the past.
I have no answer as to why, but it does stem from server or ISP. I have no experience with Starlink though.
Check on what big mac recently posted as well.

I don't think it is the Starlink because I have a Dreamlink T3 that is not having any issues at all on the same Starlink.

I believe I already have any firewalls on the Starlink disabled already, but I will check to make sure.

I will try changing portals some more, you never know.

Jack

you never know.

Jack

yes, that is the problem too, we never will know. I asked the administration why this happens, they said change portals, reset box, reset internet and all the normal stuff, but never a actual answer, they probably don't know either.
the source of the server is not in America. I think in south America somewhere, this could be part of the problem.

Did you see this ...??

worlok had same issue on one out of two devices. Fixed it like this...

I Got It Working Crazed. I Deleted The Mac Address From The Papiao Site And Hit Apply. Then Retyped The Mac Address Again And Hit Apply And All Is Well 😊

I tried switching the info from one box to the other. The T3 data worked to some extent as it would get the PPV, VOD and channels in the clear. I could not get the regular TV channels to come in. Something I noticed was when I tried to go from an in the clear channel to another channel the picture size would automatically change a little. by this I mean going from Bloomberg to Fox News the picture size would change a little. I couldn't get the B5 data to work on the T3.

I've gone to the administrator again with this.
i will be away at work most of this evening but I'll be back in a few hours (maybe 5 or 6 hours).

Did You Try What I Did By Deleting The Mac Address Then Clicking Apply Then Retyping The Mac Address And Clicking Apply Again At The Papiao Site ❓ Sometimes It Could Be Just A Little Glitch

I found this post over on IPTVZETA. I found it very interesting and similar to my situation. Doesn't look like the Buzz B5 is all that compatible with the server.

new donation: MEDIA FORMAT IS NOT SUPPORTED
12-12-2024, 07:35 PM
hello,

I just renewed my donation , also bought new box BuzzTV classic 5

after input all info (p2.iptvprivateserver.ru/c/index.html) and login into my box, I can pull up the channels, video info but no video and audio to be played, it says: media format is not supported

however, THIS IS INTEERESTING: when I used my OLD donation , [p1.iptvprivateserver.ru/c/index.html, which has not yet expired, it works perfectly when I input all the info in to the box the same way!

So I know it is not something wrong with the box or my input because with the old donation it works fine but with the new donation it does not work with "media format is not supported" message.

Please help

Sincerely Yours,

Vinh vinny

The Admin also said days ago everything was fixed.

I had thought this too about the buzz having compatibility issues with papiao servers, and I experienced the same thing a few times as others , and still am.
But this exact same issue arose a few times over the years, the first time was when we supported them Avov boxes way back in 1914 or something like that :)
Lots of reports about this same thing then back then, and everyone had Avovs, the thing was though that was exactly true, everyone did have Avovs (including myself) and not many other devices were used (other then kodi apps). So stands to reason most all reports were from avov owners.

There have been at least 2 other times this has happened, so from my memory this will be the 4th time.

This time around members with many Buzz devices, two dreamlink devices, one Formuler device, a few avov devices and there was one report with a mag device, all with the issue.
Most members own Buzz devices these days, so with the math that makes sense.

I run an admin code, which means I can use any server portal without changing it at the papioa website, just change it on my device(s). I do see differences with the portals but I do still have issues on all portals with some channels (format not supported).
I can fire up my old dreamlink T1Plus and with that same server credentials all channels work fine.

I can't explain that, but the issue does stem from the server. If it were the buzz devices alone that had a compatibility issue with papiao it would effect all of them buzz devices, which it's not.
I have ran a B5 here on papiao for a few months some time ago and no issues.
Now I run a couple X5's and a P6 and I do see issues, but them issues change almost daily.
My admin code may have something to do with that, as compared to a normal client code, but I don't know. I am pretty sure its a server issue related to ISP or geo or MACs or something along them lines. Some have rebooted their MAC a papiao or changed portals and seems that fixed their issue, which I know Coyote saw that though so I am not saying anything surprising here.

I also know all this is confussing as heck, and I don't have any answers, just experiences.
Papiao told me again to reboot everything :(

The Admin also said to reboot everything.
That would include modem, router and box.
