I do not know why they have been, and I have reported this to administration.

I have not pushed the new update to my repo yet

but thanks for letting me know there are few users here who still care about the issue

NOTE

The EPG SHRINK is not an auto-launch / auto-update feature !!!

Thus, you have to run it MANUALLY to get a new update for EPG
especially when your tv guide is blank or not populated

by clicking either the Settings: PVR Simple Client -or- Tools | EPG SHRINK

Excellent work couch

however I must say the 24/7 lottery section is rather annoying been clicking for 2 hrs same msg better luck next time hopefully my luck will turnaround

again amazing work on everything much obliged brother

I love your work. The last version worked great on my Krypton install. Now I am having a problem with the new update. The first problem I had with the new update was Kodi would crash while the guide was loading. I cleared data, reinstalled kodi and did a fresh install of Potato. Now Potato will not load the guide or m3u links into Simple Client. The settings remain blank in PVR Simple Client. I can watch IPTV and VOD through the Potato app, but of course there is no guide. When I press TV guide in the app it tells me to clear caches and click on settings: PVR Simple Client. When I do that I choose Normal EPG then Viper...I get a quick working animation and it never updates PVR Simple Client.

Do you know what I could be doing wrong?

One good thing is that when I play the channels through the app, the channel numbers are numbered the way I am used to. 200 CNN, 300 HBO...etc Is there anyway to keep the channels numbered the same?

I think I've fixed your issue with my new update (v1.2.0-r2 2017/05/11)
please try it and post a report when you get the same issue again

if you read the whole pages of my thread (start from page #10)
you will know that I've already got the patch for the backend channel # issue

but... I still keep it in my locked Pandora Box lol

if you open the addon settings' tweaks, the option for the backend channel is still gray on purpose

and it will remain disabled until I see a looooooooooooooot of magic words spreaded here in my thread

Today's update to 1.2.0-r2 solved my issues with the EPG. Previously I was unable to choose a channel directly from the guide. Working perfectly now. I am running 16.1 with a Rocket on an AVOV Online4. Potato TV is the best IPTV interface bar none. Thanks, Couch!

Hello Couch,

I noticed under the VOD listing that some of the VOD TV Series are not under the Folder TV Series, is this a server issue? Can the TV Series actually be moved under the TV Series, it would actually be nice to have a Movies folder and a TV folder, is that possible?

yep! it's a server issue
the genre for some movies in tv series have not defined (nulled )

I've already made a patch in the latest update v.1.2.0-r3
after running it, you have to run the clear caches: iptv + vod
