Minix NEO X8-H Plus 180mbps USA rebooted router modem minix box. To me it seams that USA channels have the problems when I use England channels they work great. I have used PVR and App both the same. USA don't work so good. Today no USA channels work at all 7:43 AM Eastern time.

For those who have older routers, please note, they were designed and manufactured BEFORE streaming became an advanced wifi feature, they, (many), were not and are not going to work well enough to be without buffering, freezing and even lock up issues. You may want to check to see if you have the latest firmware on your router. Go to the manufacturer's website and check. You may want to try and check the forum or other sources to see if there are any issues related to streaming. If all else fails, try and upgrade your modem to a DOCSIS 3.0 but check with your ISP to make sure which type is compatible. Then consider upgrading your router, I'd recommend an AC 1200 or better. I won't guarantee this will fix your freezing issues but it would eliminate some of the possibilities on your end.

Yes, US channels are down (tried CNN, TBS, TVland, ESPN US, CBS Sports) but UK channels are working.

Just a heads up...I have been using one of the Chinese Apps, (the dark blue one) and its been updating versions and tweaking server connections for weeks but man what a picture. Initially when you load it, it will load and then you will see a popup which has something that looks like a white sofa chair, ignore it as it will download but it won't install so just click no or right click and continue. Another update will come up and so on until there are no more updates and it will automatically connect and load Channel 1 but go to channel 3 and check out the picture quality...............no freezing either as I watched for several hours last night without any issues/

This IPTV thing is quite new and I suspect all the bugs haven't been worked out entirely so hopefully there won't be any issues soon.

I was watching last night after 11:30pm and the freezing was considerably less. how would the ISP be throttling IPTV and not services like netflix, nba leage pass etc i use on my PC. I'm still pointing towards the load on the servers during peak times I will continue to monitor tonight lets see the behavior.

Your not understanding what we are saying here... It's not your ISP throttling... It's how your ISP routes the connection to the server! It has absolutely nothing to do with Netflix or anything else! The servers are not located in the USA. Please read below:

What you have described is very typical of ISP capacity problems. This has been a major problem in my area where the ISP's lack either the total available bandwidth to cover its commitment or they lack the infrastructure to distribute bandwidth at full capacity. I've had people paying for 30mbps that at peak times would get less then 1mbps.

If you can prove your ISP is incapable of providing an acceptable service through logging speed tests over time you should report it to your local authority that is responsible for the regulation of ISP's. Then you should report to your ISP that you have reported them to the authority

That is 100 mbps from your ISP to you but what happens between your ISP and the server? That is probably where the freezing comes from. Do a tracert and you will see where the freezing is from

I have another MAG box with a different service that works perfectly fine. So based on your theory my ISP is routing to those servers just fine. (no capacity problems)

I guess my ISP just isn't friendly with the NFPS servers for some reason.

How does the trace route work do I need the destination IP? or would I just need my IP.

Again your "other service" most likely is not located in the same country as this one! This services servers are located in a country that doesn't have great ISP... Really look up what I posted and you can see what the problems can be... Did you read what I posted? If many of us are up then Yes it's something to do with you ISP!! It doesn't matter if you have 300 mbps from your ISP to you but what happens between your ISP and the server? That is where problems happen! If it happens at the same time every night then it's a bottle neck in your ISP.... Also this is not a "Theory" it's been proven time after time. Most likely the other severs you use are not based in the same location... Out of the 1000's of customers there is only some members having any issues at PEAK times on there service. The ISP has a bottle neck and there's not much you can do. You can have the fasted connection but when it leaves the server to connect to the iptv servers that is where the problems can happen.... It has nothing to do with them being Friendly with the NFPS servers!!!! Please post away where the other servers are located...

again you seem to be contradicting your statements here.

Location of my ISP to location of the NFPS servers may also have a huge factor here as well, which is why I said my ISP is not so friendly here as it cannot handle the routing efficiently. Possibly due to the capacity could be idk!

I do get what your saying and there's not a whole lot that can be done about it unless I switch ISP's but I rather not cause my other service works fine. I will play out remainder of my subscription and if it improves will renew if not poof.

I think it would help if we had a thread with known ISPs that work well with IPTV. Most of the ISPs I've seen are only available in some countries or small areas so listing your location (at least region if you don't want to give too much info) would help too.

For me it works great actually. No buffering. But yesterday AMC was still down. Don't know today... haven't try.

Another thing (funny). When i connect, it says "unable to connect" but channels load anyway. Don't happen all the time.

Got some developing news. So i tested the avov box across the street at a neighbours who has the same ISP as me and it works perfectly fine. I have also tested it over wifi at my own place with the Wireless cable modem provided by my ISP and it works too!

It seems the the cat5e ethernet line that is run to my room from the basement (where cable modem sits) may need to be checked with a cable tester as it seems to have possible opens or shorts (in other words could be faulty in the wiring)

Previously i did test over wifi as well but again that was to an access point setup in the living room Which is wired from basement.

i can rule out my ISP here as the problem seems to be in the ethernet wiring. Will provide updates when I investigate the wiring further.

I been trying to explain and give ideas to troubleshoot in many posts. and the most straight forward and easiest is the one mania03 did.
if its freezing find a buddy/family/acquaintance to test at if they has the same isp and its still not working find another with a different isp/equipment and test it there.

you need to find the point of failure, I used this method in a lot of different situations(not necessarily alike), and it very seldom fails when you need to troubleshoot something. in mania03 case he needs to do the same troubleshooting again at home, he might need to check with a different cable or temperarely move the box see if that's it, if not move on to the other devices. and so on.

borrowing mania03 was just an example. (; you are probably spot with the cable if your neighbor does not have any issues you are likely dropping packets.

pod77 is correct though some cheap isp's under buy their user number capacity at the IX and users experience rush hours. some go though bad routing points and servers are not located geographically even for all.. and it likely influences your problem to, because now you are the one contradicting yourself. because how can one run good the other bad and when you use your neighbors its all ok. how does that fit together then? it could just as likely have been your isp.

lol. it just shows there can be a 100 sources for this issue and necessarily not one alone.

post your results like you have they can be very informative.

I got in on it 2 weeks before it went paid. its been running smooth here ever since with a few maintenance hickups.

I've been using the service fine for over half a year, but then all of the sudden this week all our channels are unwatchable.

ISP hasn't changed, nothing in our network configuration has changed, haven't changed anything on Kodi, & I tried connecting my device over both wi-fi & ethernet - both with the same freezing. Doesn't seem to matter what time of day, peak time or not.
I've tried reseting all my network devices (modem, router, switches, etc.), "reseting IPTV" on the donation check website, and changing MAC.

I'm using an Nvidia Shield, Kodi 16.0, PVR Stalker 1.0.3. ISP is Time Warner Cable, US West Coast.

Currently messing around with my config and I'll let you know if I end up figuring this out. I kinda have a feeling this freezing is out of my control though.. If anyone has any suggestions please shoot.

Unfortunately if the majority of us are not seeing any freezing then something has changed in your end that you may have no control over... Maybe your ISP has changed something? As you can see there are hardly any members complaining if freezing issues

Strange behaviours i tell you, Always gets me thinking is it the server or me. Glad to hear it works.
