Which Mag Box?

The mag boxes have been known to have issues with iptv servers.
We just went through a big one recently.
Papiao services even had to create a separate portal(s) for these infomir devices.
Informir themselves announced a few years ago that they'd be taking steps to block iptv services, that didn't work so well but it did show where their priorities are at. And these devices are strictly Linux devices, not androids. Which means you can't add your favorite apps to the device.

BuzzTV makes a well priced Linux box, as well as their android boxes.
It works very similar to the mag devices.

But if you want a box that has the ability to add apps then you'd need an android Operating System over the Linux OS
Most androids do not carry an IPTV app preinstalled, except the few like BuzzTV , Ez Media Box, Dreamlink, Fomuler, and a few others. In fact the ones that do are shown on our Home page here with their own separate sub-forums.
BuzzTV has the best support though. They have an active team who are always improving their devices.

You couild go with the Mag device, I'd go with the 322 model if it's still in production, but they have others which are newer. But be aware of possible iptv issues now or in the future if you go with the mag device.

I want something inexpensive and simple for there first box to see if they really want to go with IPTV. What Buzz or other specific box would you suggest?

big mac has the answers :)

The B5 and the E5 are BuzzTV Android devices, both at a moderate cost compared to their other devices,. Both are very affordable and user friendly , and they are androids, I think I said that :)

The L1 which big mac mentions is also a BuzzTV device. It's their Linux offering and very user friendly (all buzz devices are really).
Very affordable as well :)

All 3 of these devices do have an iptv app previously installed.
That'll be part of the user friendly thingy :)

Check our 'All the Buzz' sub forum for all specs and other important things

I don't think we have the specs for the L1 Linux box but there is a video posted there with that box included.

The specs will also be at BuzzTV home site.
