Streaming setup to check hardware encoder

I thought it would be simple to just get the MAG 254 and set it up to decode an in house stream to check an encoder. With VLC I can go to rtp://224.2.2.2:1000 and see the streaming video. How do I do that with the MAG 254?????
I am not having any luck figuring it out and the so-called manual is no help.

Figured it out. Found place to manually add a channel and it worked. The Portals are useless unless subscribing to someone's service.

Except when the light bulb burns out and you can't remember how you did it ........................

Load a playlist on USB..... Go to Inner Portal..... enter the Home Media area..... look for name of your USB stick.... Say OK on t list you have put on it..... Look for the iptv list that you put on stick....... say ok....Then in option window that you see F1 will display list and allow you to play them.... F3 will transfer the list to the IPTV area.
