Remote won't wake up mag

I can't wake up the mag with my remote. I have to unplug the box and reboot it, then the remote works fine.
Read somewhere about a fix, i.e. not pressing the on/off button too long when switching the box off, but this is not the issue here.

Anyone has a fix?

Check your batteries maybe weak or out of place ect.
