Recording

Im guessing this has been asked to death... but i cant find the answer... i have a toshiba external hdd 500gb plugged in... i cant recording nor cant i use time shift. The hdd is formatted with NTFS. amd the time shift option allows me to select the hdd as the recording device. When i select recording i get a message "file missing"

What!!!! thats so stupid.
That will lose my custom if this cant be turned on.

Can it be enabled?

Users can not enable it, since this is a worldwide service coming through the internet there are rules in certain countries that does not allow recording. This
may not be the only reason but it might be one factor why it is not turned on from the server side.
