My brand new Mag 254 is not working right?

Okay. So I read Bio's "Mag254 Setup Guide"
But, when I power up mine, ALL that I am getting is a light blue screen with print at the bottom. First, it says "DHCP" (as it checks for internet connection?). After that, it says: Tftp load and shows what looks like a progress meter.
This is all that it does. I have waited for it to do something - anything - but it just doesn't advance past this stage. Also, it does not respond to the remote at all. I have tried pushing each of the buttons; but nothing works. Tried numerous power-downs and that didn't work either. It does this same thing every time! No menu - no nothing! It definitely has a good internet connection cause I'm running it directly off the same modem that this PC is hooked to.
Anybody got any ideas?
I'm thinking the manufacturer didn't finish loading the software?

reboot the mag 254 it hit menu key on the remote fast will take into the bios setup change boot mode to : nand2 save&exit should reboot now.

Tried it but - it didn't work. There are three different menu buttons. Tried them all - holding menu button down as I powered up or as soon as the power light came on. Made no difference. It's like the box is not responding to the remote. The power button does not seem to affect the box in any way.

Don't hold down to the menu button keep tapping it while booting
