Mag254 and video files on pc

am trying to watch videos on stb from hard drive on my desktop pc. under home media, workgroup i can see all the folders my pc. but asks for login and password. where can i find this info? please someone help me out. thanks

Depends on what os you're using. If you're using win7 or 8. The username and password are set by your pc for security reasons. You'll need to check your network settings and find that info. My win7 is setup custom but I get to it from right-clicking my wireless icon beside the clock, open network and sharing center, choose homegroup and sharing options, change password
