ok guy here is one warning i'm going to delete everything that has to do with HIGHJACKING THREADS stop it or will start giving out pink slips

yea when someone ask for help let say for mac address and another member come in and ask for koolaid thats highjacking stop it

Hijackers= people that post questions on other people thread!! Usually if is related to the original question is fine. But it is RUDE and against the forums rules so If you have a question that is not already posted START A NEW THREAD on the section related to your question. It's Simple!!

for most part, the hyjackers that need to stop don't read this thou

I've mistakenly answered a hyjacker, I think we all have.
It will happen when I may see a New Post listed and just go in and respond, not knowing I was responding to a hyjack

In other cases, the hyjacker didn't really mean to hyjack and prolly did too read lots, but just didn't know where to or how to post a thread. That happens, but it's never an 'outright change the subject' type hyjack in them cases.

It's them outright change the subject, no care type hyjackers that are the trouble.
Them 'outright change the subject' type hyjackers will never ever read this thread , sorry but true :)

and oh yes, while we are talking about it, well I been talking anyway ..lol
ummm... when I catch onto a hyjack that is in the category of not really meaning harm or confussion, just mistaken is all... I move them into their own thread. I do that quite often. It's no biggie and helps the members.

But them 'other' hyjackers, well... ummmmm I leave them for asft :)
Is maybe reason why asft sees all the worst :)
sorry buddy :)

Many forum communities get bit upset when users post new threads, when there are others relating to the topic. So users go in a thread relating to their topic and post a question. I myself have gone in threads and asked a question to the persons participating in hoping toget more info that relates to the OP's original problem, and been accused of hijacking :/ Back in my mind, I was like gesh I was trying to help.

I've seen this too and is a complete different way then I'd go about to organize threads/posts.
I never liked that, seemed to me it added confusion. Plus one goal of that sometimes is to keep post count down on new members in order to have a rep system that would mean something (in their eyes). Well that never works either.

you could say that but i look at the post count first on guy thats doing the high jacking that a give away

I just see it has being LAZY, most questions are already answered on either that thread or other thread. My feel is that most hijackers log in. already with a question in mind but instead of looking for a thread that has the answer they look for the first thread that has something (and sometimes nothing to do with the original post). Don't get me wrong sometimes it is related.
