flying logo

just curious if i'm partially correct. when we see the flying logo on the screen,after clicking on a channel,is that because the receiver has lost it's signal or because the receiver was turned off by the supplier for some reason? i can't remember where i read this,but,i have read it's because the receiver was turned off/shutdown by subscriber. just curious as to why from time to time we all see the flying logos.

means that channel is currently down, during testing, could be back up in few minutes or few hrs or till its back up.

When abbreviations are used it makes the search very difficult if not impossible?
