At 90 years young, William Shatner aka Captain James T. Kirk, climbed to edge of space 65.8 miles up, onboard the Blue Origin Rocket ship.
The total flight lasted 10 minutes and 17 seconds, with 3 to 4 minutes of weightlessness.
The return flight to earth was parachute assisted and uneventful.
This flight took place last Wednesday. I knew about, but I did not want to post anything about earlier at least not till afterwards, as I did not want to jynx it in anyway. No way on this earth would I have wanted to see William Shatner crash and burn on one of Bezo's rockets.
But there it is.... Captain Kirk returns to space (sort of)
