    Auto Framerate Question

Hey guys, I just got my MAG254 box and set it up with NFPS. I've been wondering about the Auto Framerate option as it was disabled on my box though I saw it enabled at 50/60 on a friend's box. I've tried turning it on and off, and all channels I view still work with it on or disabled so far as my TV seems to take almost anything thrown at it.

Is there any advantage to having it on? I don't know if it's all in my head but sometimes it seems like the picture is a little clearer and sharper with it on.

You guys' input would be greatly appreciated as this is all totally new territory to me.

    Thanks!
