Did you find a place in the 524's menus to change the compatibility ?
I was in private messages with a person that has a 524 and did not find that option in their settings menus.

Did you remove the MAC from the server login and then Apply that change.
And then reattach that MAC and APPly again ?

Try that with the 254 and the 524 devices
 
A couple of weeks ago after not using my Mag 254, I got the same msg. I hadn't used it for a couple weeks so started digging into a possible reason.
I logged into the IPTV Reset & Rocket Checker and discovered that the country code was set for "Allow All Countries". I don't know how that happened but changed it back to my country and voila, the STB Blocked pop up was gone, and back to my regular viewing.
Maybe this will help....

So I changed country to US, I have removed mac apply gone back in and added mac and re apply nothing... where do I go to change the compatibility in thw mag 524?

I wish I could help with the more technical aspects of which I know very little about.
My issues with my Mag 254 have been many, just one of which I figured out with the country entry. It works now but barely....
I've been given sage advice that the Mag 254 is an outdated STB with non updated codecs so I'm switching to a simple Linux unit, the just released BuzzTV L1. I think and hope it'll do me better than the Mag.
 
Can someone tell me what's the latest firmware update for my MAG520? I have version: 220, description: 2.20.09-520, date: Wed Sep 04 2024 9:37:34 AM EDT. Last week my STB was fine but Saturday it's showing that my STB is blocked and needs a firmware update. I've updated 10x but won't resolve.

Which service and portal are you using with that Mag ?

NFPS, Rocket or iptv66 ?

Incompatible Middleware Version: If you're receiving a "Firmware of your STB is outdated" message, it may indicate that your service provider's middleware (e.g., Ministra TV platform) is outdated and incompatible with your STB's firmware. To resolve this, contact your provider and request an update to the middleware version that supports your device.

Could this now be the issue with my MAG520 not being able to update?
