m3u playlist with VLC vs Mag245 - more stable?

    Hello guys,
I was trying to watch Golf, Tour de France and Cricket today, and all three had major freezing issues. I have very fast broadband (60mb today) and have the same issue using my PC with VLC player, Android TV using Kodi, VU Solo (m3u playlist imported) and also a second IPTV account at my office with another VU box... all with the same IPTV provider who says there is no problem at all, he said he is watching the Cricket without any freezing.

So I was wondering if there is any reason to think using a Mag254 would be more stable/less prone to freezing than using an M3U playlist as I have been doing. Thoughts?

    Thanks.

    hard to answer this.
Seems ISPs and time of day and many other things have to do with freezing (and we can never rule out the service).
One person across the country could have freeze free channels while another experiences freezing.
There are way to many variables involved.

Hi, thanks for the quick response.
The two things I have in common with my office account is the same ISP and the same IPTV provider... short of getting another ISP, I don't know what the issue could be, other than the obvious blaming the IPTV supplier... It's really frustrating, stops around once a minute, and if I do nothing, nothing happens. If I press CH+ then CH- the channel works fine again for another short while... so it seems the data gets stopped somehow after a minute.
Sometimes it lasts much longer, but usually it seems worse during weekends when many others may be taking up bandwidth.
    Cheers...

what about your server URL... check that it matches what the website shows for that code.
Or you could just try changing it to another from same service.

Hi, thanks, but the IPTV provider gave me an M3u file which sometimes works perfectly... like now, Monday morning it is working fine. It can't be my ISP blocking the url, as it would be not working rather than working poorly, and also I have tried a proxy from The Netherlands, and it works just as poorly. I wonder if it is that my IPTV provider have bandwidth issues on weekends, and not on a Monday morning!?
